Kitabu is an easy to use and fast guestbook build using CodeIgniter. The goal of Kitabu is to become one of the best and easiest to use guestbooks currently available (though that may still take some time).

I started working on Kitabu 2 weeks ago and so far it's pretty mature. A list of current and upcoming features can be seen below.

Current features

* Gravatar support
* Changable Gravatar size (current size is 50x50 pixels)
* Changable site settings, such as name, keywords and description.
* Notifications (new in 0.7b1)
* Comment moderation (admins only)
* User moderation (admins only)
* Lightweight
* Secure

Upcoming features

* Plugin support
* Ajax powered backend (currently only comment moderation is Ajax powered)
* Extra security
* Extra speed
* Emoticon support
* TinyMCE support

Screenshots

* Main screen (when logged in): http://i43.tinypic.com/ws8nj5.jpg
* Manage users: http://i41.tinypic.com/2ibes6q.jpg
* Add a comment (with an error): http://i43.tinypic.com/2955013.jpg

The project itself is hosted on Google Code: http://code.google.com/p/kitabu/
The latest version can be downloaded here: http://code.google.com/p/kitabu/downloads/list

Please note that I am currently looking for 1 or 2 other PHP developers out there who are interested in developing this project with me, so if you are interested feel free to reply here Smile

p.s. Yes, you may also reply even though you are not interested in developing the system. Tongue

Thanks, one of the upcoming features might be plugin support and a more decent templating system (right now you have to edit the core CSS files in order to change the layout) Smile

Every answer needs to be one digit (1.2 would be 1), forgot to add that to the label. I also need to add an anti spam error messages in case the answer was wrong.

For security reasons that one isn't available at the moment. I will make a demo login available when I created a cronjob to repopulate the database with the default data.
