That I don't know, as I fit my knowledge of Java on a postage stamp, but logic dictates that since the class can be accessed directly from the address bar, this has nothing to do with CodeIgniter.

I don't think that's right, the file works fine outside of CI.

That's very strange, since I downloaded the class and put it on my Web server, and I can't get it to work. Perhaps it's file corruption and the file just needs to be uploaded again?
