Hello All,
Ive been looking for a pingback library and there doesnt seem to be one... anywhere.
If find this odd as I believe Wordpress dumped pingbacks sometime in 2007.
As far as I can tell trackbacks are now defunct as no one is using them.... making the CI trackback library is a white elephant.
The only thing I have been able to find that may have implemented pingbacks in CI is inkType which is pending release by the user developer13, but the source has not been published for that. My "guess" would be that this is written using CI's own <a href="http://ellislab.com/codeigniter/user-guide/libraries/xmlrpc.html">XMLRPC libraries</a>.
I am just wondering if anyone else has anything on this, i.e. a pingback library for CI using the standard CI XMLRPC libraries?
