Use CI functions inside PHPBB3 templates

Hello Guys,

I'm trying to alter the forum of this website Radio.bg, so that when you open the forum you see the header and footer of the website. So it looks like a part of the whole website. However in the header I have some login/logout form, Hello {anyone} and so on. All these elements are dynamically built on the fly.

Thats why I'm looking for a way to call some already built CodeIgniter methods and functions from PHPBB template.

Or at least to read some codeigniter session variables from the PHPBB template code.

Do you know of a good way to do that?
