Are you sure you are connecting to your db? That was my issue, but instead of any CI errors, it was just the blank screen.

DB connections seem fine. No errors on apache or php log. I'm rebuilding piece by piece to try to isolate the error.

a while ago i made a list of things that cause the white screen of death. have you found that list on the forums yet? function name collision is a cause of WSOD.

Probably not function collision as the application works fine on the production server. I'm half way through the rebuild process and everything is working so far.

Rebuilding fixed it, so who knows what the problem was. For what it's worth, I did rebuild against the latest version of CI (1.7.2).
