how can i use ffmpeg to submit my videos and load on to a webpage. I have heard of something like shell-exec that helps to convert video files to flv, if any one can help me out on this issue, it will be highly appreciated

Dude, there is tons of reference material out there on internet. Let me give you a hint. You will require ffmpeg for conversion and flvtool for fixing the metadata of the video so your video starts supporting progress bar and also has other information. Google info for these 2 and I am sure you will get through it. If at all you can not do it pay something to motivate someone and I am sure your task will be done perfect.
