Twitter Library: status update not being sent

I know, this question should probably be asked on Elliot's site, but I'm hoping I will get a quick(er) response here.

All calls return data, but when I try to send a status update nothing is being sent. I've used the code Elliot provided. Anyone got an idea where it might go wrong?

I think I got the same issue, but not yet sure how to solve it.
What I saw is that Twitter won't allow you to post the same content twice, so first of be sure that you don't update the same string when testing. Second thing I think, is that we may not be able to tweet from a localhost.

Seems I can't post tweet updates, not sure why,
also tried Elliots twitter library.... no luck

I have done some work with this recently and it worked. Make sure you enter your username and password in the $twitter->auth function call.
