Root folder is where you have installed CodeIgniter.

Like your hard disk c:\ is the root

I think CodeIgniter has changed since the last post, so the advice given here needs to be updated.

First, it should be $system_path, not $system_folder.

On another note, my system folder is in the same directory as my application folder, whereas your system folder contains your application folder. It's probably just different versions of CodeIgniter

Other than that, everything is the same, and it seems to work fine.
