Try this as your .htaccess:

Code:
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /bebidabeveragesolutions.co.uk

    #Removes access to the system folder by users.
    #Additionally this will allow you to create a System.php controller,
    #previously this would not have been possible.
    #'system' can be replaced if you have renamed your system folder.
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^system.*
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php?/$1 [L]

    #Checks to see if the user is attempting to access a valid file,
    #such as an image or css document, if this isn't true it sends the
    #request to index.php
    RewriteCond $1 !^(index\.php|images|css|js|robots\.txt|favicon\.ico)
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?/$1 [L]
</IfModule>

<IfModule !mod_rewrite.c>
    # If we don't have mod_rewrite installed, all 404's
    # can be sent to index.php, and everything works as normal.
    # Submitted by: ElliotHaughin

    ErrorDocument 404 /index.php
</IfModule>

You need the
Code:
RewriteCond $1 !^(index\.php|images|css|js|robots\.txt|favicon\.ico)
or it will also rewrite your index.php file, images, css, javascript, etc...

I have changed the htaccess file but still get the loop.
#4

[eluser]Ben Edmunds[/eluser]
Hmmm. Ok, where is it looping through? /welcome/index or just index.php? If you type in another controller does it still loop, ie. /blog/index?
#5

[eluser]Gazzhop[/eluser]
when I go to that URL it switched between waiting for pioneer.xssl.net... and connected to pioneer.xssl.net...

if I put another controllers name at the end eg. products

i get

Code:
Not Found

The requested URL /~admin137/bebidabeveragesolutions.co.uk/products was not found on this server.

I'm really not sure at this point, hopefully someone else can help you.

I guess while your waiting you could change $config['index_page']="index.php" to $config['index_page']="".

[eluser]n0xie[/eluser]
Code:
RewriteBase /bebidabeveragesolutions.co.uk
Change this to this
Code:
RewriteBase /

Or take a look at the Docs
