url with language initials?

hello everyone,

I just finished making a multi lingual website using the brilliant CI.
everything is working fine, but I don't know how to do something.
this site is runing with using 5 different language files and i use session object to control to which one to use.

but how can i add the language initials to the url?
like, mysite.com/en/class/function/ID instead of mysite.com/class/function/ID ?

i don't want the language inital bit to be the main class. I want class to be the class and the function to be the function, but still having the language before them.

i did some search but couldn't come up with anything. i think i don't know how to express what i have in mind clearly and turn it in to a search query. sorry if it is also answered a million times.
