How do I use existing CI applications in Expression Engine?

Hello

I've been using CI for about a year now, and I am all over excited. I have build a plain with some tailormade applications. Those applications I would like to implement in the Expression Engine CMS, but I can't figure out how to do it.

I have read a lot about that EE is 100% build on CI (eg. http://ellislab.com/blog/entry/expressio...deignited/), but I can't find any documentation, tutorial or other "hands on" materiale about how to do it in practice.

Can anyone give me a hint or share some experience?

Expression Engine 2 is based on CodeIgniter, but it's not released yet.
