I use a custom built in CI. I don't start from scratch each time, i use the base i've done, no point in reinventing the wheel each time.

I play with Joomla and some custom with CI to dog creators, and about to port a real estate to CI. I will try PyroCMS soon.

Custom built CMS... find it some much more fun learning new things. Just as daparky mentioned, I dont write from scratch everytime, I simply work from the one that I currently work with and add new features as I go along.

I have a few sites running Joomla!.
They will be eventually moved to a custom CMS built on CodeIgniter.

But nowadays i have to do ecommerce sites only so magento (new sites) and oscommerce (old sites).
