Considerations previous to move to InnoDB

Hi guys
I've realized that continuing working with MyISAM type tables, and doing the integrity checking manually, will be a headache.

Is there any considerations I should have before chaning all my tables to InnoDB type?
Will I have to change code in my models?
How codeIgniter treats errors related to InnoDB?

And finally, any docs to read relating InnoDB+CodeIgniter?
