Auto generate form from database fields/content

Dear CI community!

Is there a way to auto generate forms from a database table? I have it running atm using field_data() amongst other functions, but its a bit of a mess. Anyone know a easy way to do this?

I think the DataMapper Overzealous project has an extension to do this. Check it out and see if it'll work for you.
