Extending the default upload script

I was wandering how i could extend the default upload script that is in the user guide to give the user a dynamically generated link that links to the image/file they upload.

Don't let the name bother you. Upload the file, store the name in a database. Then use the database(link) to display the picture or what have you.

And remember, you don't have to use the upload class just because you're running a site on CI.

how do i get the filename from the upload script(just he filename, not the home users/yourname/Documents/file.txt just file.txt)
