database configuration issues

Hi, i´m migrating a entire web but till my client pays me i want to host the database in my server. In my server works fine but when i try it on client´s server it gives me an

"A Database Error Occurred
Unable to connect to your database server using the provided settings."

Any configuration tip?

That's really vague and uninformative. Make sure your hostname isn't localhost and is set to your website (or where ever the database is).

No it's crystal clear. Reading the error message we understand that the provided settings are wrong. Either you check to see if you got them wrong. (In a file called config/database.php) Or check with the support at the server provider.

That`s why i don`t know what to do. My settings on config/database.php are ok. They are not localhost and they are pointing to my db. I want to know if appart of this i hace another configuration to do?

This only has to do with your settings. They are not correct. Have you made sure your hostname is correct, the user exists and has the proper privileges?
