I'd like to say first that I'm new to CI and love it except for this one thing. I've googled this problem a million times today with no luck so I'll not bore you with error details but simply ask you this... Is there any way to ditch my broken upload library and use the old fashioned $_FILES array and write a custom upload class? I tried simply writing it to a function but the $_FILES array seems to be stripped away much like $_GET data when using URI. Is there any special way to go about getting at the $_FILES array?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
