CI Learning resources

Hi,

Im pretty new to CI and MVC, but know a bit of PHP. Im looking for resources e.g. CI Apps that you would recommend or other material (like this blog post on CI Models) to help understand best practices / how things tie up together.

A lot of the tutorials that I have come across often have a more simplistic approach towards explaining things or building an app. I'd prefer dissecting an existing app to understand how it was put together and am currently looking at BambooInvoices. I would appreciate links to any other (even simpler) applications that you may think would be helpful. My focus here is more to understand MVC and CI best practices.

This screencast tutorial is about setting up a login system but includes a decent method of setting up templates for views, it was useful to me.
