Call to a member function error.!?

I have checked and re-checked and I can't seem to locate the problem.

I am using the helper library to use auto_typography and it's spitting out this error: "Call to a member function _assign_libraries() on a non-object" ..."\libraries\Loader.php on line 1035". The thing is I have the same code running, without error, on my live server. The only thing that is coming to mind could be the different PHP versions.

Live (working): 5.2.6
Local (Error): 5.2.9

Any ideas why?
