Hey All
For the CMS system I use I'm displaying all the uploaded files on the admin control panel. The file types can basically be anything the user wants to upload. At the moment i'm displaying the file extension to the user, although i'd like to be able to display the file type for popular extensions, or just the category, so jpg/png/gif would display as 'Image' rather than just using their extensions.
Is there any online resources that have a lookup table for common filetypes I could use ? Anyone have one that I could use ? I googled fora bit but couldn't find anything for what I needed.
I think I might need to create one myself with 20 - 30 file formats that are commonly going to be uploaded.
