Calendar / Date Picker in CodeIgniter

I’m looking for a decent Calendar or Date Picker...
The one available in codeintiter isn’t quite up to par....
I’ve installed this one and have been playing with the javascript all day.

It’s not bad ... however, with no modifications it kicks out dates that look like this.
Wed May 05 2010 16:00:00 GMT-0600 (MST)

Is it possible to turn that date string into a Unix timestamp?

And two, does anyone have something better?

That's not a bad one, not much different then the kelvinluck date picker I posted. However both don't format dates in Unix Timestamp format.
