Combining CI, Doctrine, and ME/Matchbox

Hi everyone.

I'm actually new in CI, and also Doctrine.

I have a purpose to create my own framework, but I have some problem.

Here is the explanation of my idea:
- I use CI as the MVC framework.
- After reading articles in here, I decide to use Doctrine as the replacement of Model and Database things.
- After learning more about modular application, I want to make my framework to be modular in default. So that I can create separate modules when I create an application.

The questions:
- Are there any developers who already create this similar idea?
- Which one i should use, ME (Modular Extension) or Matchbox, to create a modular things?
- Are there any problem using Doctrine and ME/Macthbox, in case of the Doctrine Model in modules?
