CodeIgniter Site Won't Run on Local Machine

I just downloaded the code from a working CodeIgniter site to my Mac which is running Snow Leopard, Apache, and PHP5. I changed the appropriate lines in database.php and config.php, but the site doesn't want to run on my Mac. When I try to access it with Safari, I get the error message, "Safari can't open the page ...... because the server dropped the connection.

I'm guessing that I missed a config somewhere, but can't think of where that might be. Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Dan

Answering my own question here, what I did was to download the latest version of CI, and then from the working site, I downloaded models, views, controllers, helpers, and libraries. Now, everything is working just fine on my local machine.

Perhaps some file didn't get downloaded when I tried it the first time, or perhaps a file got corrupted. Who knows?
