CI Reactor 2.0.2 is a disaster

By everyone's admission this wasn't ready when it was released. The only reason it was released was because someone completed failed to communicate with someone else and an unscheduled release was shat out.

Fine... its happened. What next? Nothing! April 7th - Today.. That is 101 days.. 101 days with a poor bug ridden release. WTF?

This is what should have happened.

April 7th :: Someone Messing Up
April 8th - 10th :: Someone in Reactor pipes up. CI 2.03 is released. 2.03 would be 2.01 with the hot fix to the XSS filter.
April 10th+ :: Development of what was going to be 2.02 branch continues and eventually becomes 2.04

Why didn't this happen? How many people have downloaded the latest version.. how many sites will eventually run this version? What will this do to community growth as new developers find out we have been proudly sporting a buggy version 2.02 for 100 days and done nothing to fix it?

The news of Reactor using PHPUnit is great... however.. why isn't fixing this a priority?

CICON should be good... it will give everyone a chance to see what CI is really like in 2011.
