Template Parser and database?

I'm building CMS right now. This CMS stores page templates in DB. I want to use CI Parser class but it accepts only templates from files, am I right? Fetching template content from DB and writing it to file, which then could be parsed by template library makes no sense for me or I don't understand something with templates :/
