I have a question about the code igniter license: http://ellislab.com/codeigniter/user-guide/license.html I plan to use codeigniter to create a HOSTED solution which people will be able to take part in by purchasing our services. At no point will the source of codeigniter + our implementation using codeigniter be in the hands of the customer. This will all be behind the scenes. I realise all copyright notices must stay intact inside of the files etc. However, in such a solution, does credit have to be given anywhere to codeigniter to the customer or is this optional? Thanks, Adam

From reading the license number 5 states this: Quote:Products derived from the Software must include an acknowledgment that they are derived from CodeIgniter in their documentation and/or other materials provided with the distribution. I would probably just include somewhere in your docs that the core is running on CodeIgniter. You could even do a credits page: http://ellislab.com/codeigniter/user-gui...edits.html |
