Using checkbox to delte multiple files from folder...

Hello there!
I just started using a small image gallery in codeigniter...so far I can upload images in a folder and display them on the browser...
But I would also like : 1)to delete them and 2) being able to choose which of the I want to delete with a checkbox and then delete them all together...are there any good tutorials out-there for deleting multiple files?
