anchor() opens links in new window!!

For the past 2-3 days I've noticed any links I create in my app using anchor() opens in new window!

I'm using nothing fancy:

Code:

<?=anchor('discography','Discography')?>

yet it behaves the same in both IE & FF.

I viewed the source, and the <a> looked good, ie no target=_blank !!

If I switch the anchor to regular <a> linking to the same page, the problem vanishes!!

Is there anything in the configuration that does this?? Although I have changed anything.

FYI: the issue was caused by jQuery script on that page
