Changing Language On The Fly

I have got the code for switching languages as specified here:

It works fine except when it has to use a language file from system/languages I get an error such as:

Unable to load the requested language file: language/indonesia/form_validation_lang.php

That file doesn't exist, but I don't want to modify the system languages unless I have to. Is there a way around this?

There's nothing wrong with translating the system files.
Actually, that is what people do to have their CodeIgniter translated.
