Adding Accounts to Codeigniter

Hi Guys,
I'm a beginner in Codeigniter. I was wondering how I could add the feature of accounts. People can register and create their username and pass. Also, they can have a profile page. How would that be possible?

Implementing user accounts and keeping them secure requires a moderate knowledge of codeigniter and php.

I'd suggest looking through some of the tutorials to get started on it. The one on tutsplus.com was helpful to me when I first got started.
