Display the list of items in the sidebar from the Google maps icons

Hello Guys,

I am a newbie to Google maps, i don't have any idea on how to put the list of information from the Google maps icons or balloons.

Like for example a Google maps having 3 different icons displayed and in the sidebar it also displays the 3 lists of the information from that icons in the map.

Does anyone can give me a link on where to find a tutorial or a sample code or any ideas?
