Great! The man himself! Good to hear from you.
I will be happy to give it a try.
Again, please see http://pyrocms.com/forums/topics/view/971,
where I ask whether or not I can use phpinfo() to
confirm the proper installation and configuration
for cUrl and GD2. And so it appears GD2 is the important part.
So, as follows is an entry from phpinfo:
Code:
GD Support     enabled
GD Version     2.0
FreeType Support     enabled
FreeType Linkage     with freetype
FreeType Version     2.3.11
T1Lib Support     enabled
GIF Read Support     enabled
GIF Create Support     enabled
JPEG Support     enabled
libJPEG Version     6b
PNG Support     enabled
libPNG Version     1.2.42
WBMP Support     enabled

Directive    Local Value    Master Value
gd.jpeg_ignore_warning    0    0
Does this entry confirm the proper configuration and installation for GD2?
Thanks for the reply
Tim

Yup... first line says that GD is enabled... second line reads that the GD version is 2.0.... which would be GD2.

Wham! Looks like I'm good to go.
My plan:
1)A "bottom-up" cms (pyro) based on a framework (CI) and a
2)"Top Down" cms (drupal) that I can tweak with PHP if necessary.
thanks folks

Not sure what makes either of these CMS' top down or bottom up. PyroCMS is pretty similar to Drupal in many ways (not the bad ones).

I used the terms in a proprietory manner, and remember I'm just getting started and just fumbling
my way around. I sort of presume that PyroCMS is much more tweakable than drupal.
It would be interesting for me to see a (rancorless) comparison between drupal and PyroCMS.
I do like the fact that there is a book for drupal. I really like books.
Maybe it's my generation ....
