adding to user profiles question.

Hi everyone

Sorry about the vague title, I didn't really know how to word it... but I have a question, it's not really code specific, I just need some directional help. I have a bookmarklet that allows users to add content to my site, each user has a profile.

The bookmarklet directs the user to www.mydomain.com/add/url_of_the_site_to_add, then the add function basically does some checks and adds it to the database with the current logged in users_id.

I can't figure out how it should work if a user isn't logged in, I can check ok and redirect the user to my login controller, but then I loose the info they passed in the url.

any help would be great, thanks.
