ExpressionEngine Users

I am new to CodeIgniter, and just created some simple php games with it. But now I need to check what user is logged in using ExpressionEngine.

I can't find a class for this, but I guess it should not be that difficult. Is there a way to use an ExpressionEngine class to do this?

Hm, ExpressionEngine is (says Google) an CMS system?
So, you want from your CI code to check if user is logged in the ExpressionEngine CMS?

If EE has an API to do this, my guess would be that it should be possible...
