I think a project section of the CI website would be extremely useful. Maybe one for EE as well (or the same). A system similar to that used on the Drupal.org site where you can setup a project and provide releases. Users can submit bugs or issues and patches. You can also see what version of the system (CI/EE) the class is made for and history.
This IMHO is the missing link for CI (maybe EE as well) to really ignite codeigniter. CI by far has the best documentation and one of the best forum communities I've ever seen. But the wiki and forum group just doesn't cut it.
