CodeIgniter on Windows Server

This may be a stupid question, because I know CodeIgniter is designed to work on Apache, but is there any way to make mod_rewrites or the equivalent thereof work on IIS? Our server at work is IIS and we may not be able to move this to an Apache server. But I sure would like to remove the "index.php" from the URL.

Can anyone help me configure IIS and then help me figure out how to do the equivalent of an Apache mod_rewrite to remove the index.php?
