Some times it has an annoying filtering that filters out code, and filters out &lt; scripts tags, that is annoying,no other site does that, it is annoying

I have nothing against security, and reasonable security is important but trading useability for excessive security can be counter productive forum wise

oh yeah and the spam shit is really annoying

Auto-delete(or hide from view) spam when/if thread/post is reported more than X no. of times.

That would reduce the moderators' workload and clean up the forum. Knowing that one person can make a difference will also encourage users to be more pro-active in reporting spam.

Then it will be up to the thread owner to report to the moderators to prove that they aren't spammers.

No doubt its tough question for fan of using codeigniter but still I would say that I would make more social connection with users at Facebook, twitter and help them from that place.
