I would suggest to understand the uri class (maybe router also), and check if all is OK on that side. Apparently, it automatically loads the default controller. Maybe, the router is not capable of retreiving the requested URL, and then can't determine the right controller to load.

Also does it work without URL rewriting and urls like index.php/controller/...?
