I'm storing my session data above public_html on my hosting account at MDD, which is a semi-dedicated (robust shared type) hosting account. If anybody is interested, MDD has been good to me:

Also worth noting is that typing "half-price" in the promo code box during checkout will get you half off the first year. At least it has worked for my customers for the last few months. Don't know how long that will last, but $38.xx for the first year of shared hosting is pretty awesome.
