Write administration panel or use phpmyadmin.

Evollution, you've been relying on scaffolding this whole time??

Why not learn to use CI and write an app yourself? Or simply use Wordpress?

Scaffolding is depreciated and has been removed from CI 2.0.

For obvious security reasons...

None of you replied to his question. As someone new to MVC and CodeIgniter, the demos are there to give a brief overview, so to speak, to a someone new to CI. The demo's appear to be outdated as features are deprecated and don't work.

Since he was following the demo and it didn't work, he was asking what he should try and no one advised him where to look for a solution.

Either update the demo, or be a little more helpful when the demos don't work.

Can anyone provide an answer on what to use in lieu of scaffolding(s)?

Thanks in advance.

I'd also love to know if there are any simple ways to generate a (temporary) CRUD system. I have a ton of data that I need the client to sort through and sanitize, but I won't need the same sort of CRUD for the final app. It seems a bit of a waste to build a separate (and in this case complex) CRUD that I won't use. Unless there's a quick and easy way that I'm not aware of...

phpMyAdmin scares the hell out of him, so something like the < CI 2.0 scaffolding would be perfect.

Thanks,
B

You can use grocery CRUD library . Is easy like scaffolding and more secure. Its actually a CRUD to create a CMS , but is actually easy so you can use it as scaffolding.
