routing (maybe) problem

Hi all, I'm a newbie here
Using pagination, I've got a 404 error using

http://localhost/myapp/index.php/index/1

and even

without index.php result won't change, any num after index/ cause this error (I'm pretty sure code won't pass to controller, using debug)

Any idea? Thank you

Solved with /index.php/index/index

but honestly I can't figure out why index should be typed twice :-|

...because the last "index" is the controller function name!
