I have a CI application that works well on 90% of the browsers it has been opened on. It will open fine, the authentication process will identify a valid ID, create a logged_in session variable and then that variable is checked on each page. The problem is some of the browsers, when opened on certain networks will not allow the session variable to be set, thus, providing a 404 error message.
I first thought it was a FF/IE issue; however, tonight, working on a hotel network (free wi-fi) the same behavior happens on every browser I opened the application in.
Any thoughts? Ideas? Anyone had this issue before?
