How about integrating the irc channel into the website?
Or if not, then at least make a sticky or some kind of announcement?

Could use a bit more activity and we're more than happy to help people looking for answers or discussions.
Most of the top CI contributors are in the channel during the day, every day.

And if you were to consider adding this to the website, maybe add a link to a wiki page explaining how to connect to the irc channel with an irc client (thousands of guides online though).

Oh and for the people at work/school, you can use http://webchat.freenode.net?channels=codeigniter as well.

I don't really think an iframe would be good on the main page.

But it would surely be a good idea to put a sticky on the help forum.

I also tend to be at IRC sometimes. It's somewhat easier to help people.
