tutorial confusion

Not sure if this is the right section of the forum... sorry.

Anyways, I'm going through this tutorial: http://net.tutsplus.com/articles/news/co.../#comments

I know it's old but I read in the forums that its not hard to update the tutorial for 2.0.

At 9:40 into the video when he is creating his view file, he types something into the editor and all of a sudden he has all this code to work with. Can anyone explain to me what this is? Should I just pause the video and copy down what is on the screen?

I just checked out the video, he used a shortcut in his editor to write a basic html page. You can just make a basic page or download his source and grab the view from there. Happy learning!
