AJAX partial page loads

Hello,

I've been toying about with CI for a little while now and think am finally grasping the basics of it. I'm now looking into using AJAX to load in page content, so as not to refresh the header (and of course reduce on bandwidth. Does anyone have any demos / tutorials or examples they could link me to so I could have a tinker about please?
