[help]how to make videos readable in form_upload?

i am very curious regarding form_upload in ci.
i don't get it why i can upload images file without sweat, but i could never ever ever upload video files.

is there something else i need to configure?
i already configured mimes.php and .htacces....
but why when i

print_r($_FILES)

only images are detected while videos no matter what the format is, could not be detected.
i don't know where i went wrong.
