creating languages in system directory

It seems necessary if you are going to support multiple languages to modify the system directory by creating folders for each language. This seems kind of wierd because I think of the system directory as something that should never be touched. But I guess you have to in this case for languages or you will get errors when using the form_validation helper for example.

Is it ok to add languages to the system directory?

By default it first looks in your apppath then sys path. So you can just download the different lang files and put them in app/language/idiom/ folder.
