pros and cons hmvc

Hi, for new project I am thinking of using hmvc principle. But I don't know if it is worth it. What are pros and cons of using it? Project would be CMS.

Is it code in HMVC more portable and manageable than in MVC?

I never used HMVC pattern but I plan to use it soon with CI Bonfire on one project.

As I understand using HMVC code is even more modular than MVC and code can be separated even in smaller components so less spagheti code is written in controllers and it is easier to follow DRY principle.
