Looking for RFC of CI's URI segment scheme

Hi,

can anybody point to a RFC which "defines" the basis for the CodeIgniter's URLs?

Not sure what it is you're looking for.

There is only one RFC for URL's, RFC 3986. If you mean the fact that CI uses URI segments instead of GET variables, that's CI specific design (altough there are other frameworks that use this principle as well).
