jquery ajax problem

hi

i am using jquery ajax and he working but first time i am click on button on onclick event then post the value but i refresh the page ctr f5 then next time this value is posted.
please help me.

we need more info, like
- are you submiting a form via ajax?
- are you submiting using $.ajax, $.get , $.post ??
- the onclick event is upon a link ( <a> ) ???
- you wanna refresh the data after the submit ??
